Washington Green artist Paul Horton has donated a specially-conceived original painting to help boost friend Steve 'Cockney Rebel' Harley’s fund raising efforts. Steve is an ambassador for the Mines Advisory Group (MAG), which helps clear landmines from some of the world's poorest nations. To help raise funds Steve has recently completed a 250 mile trek across Death Valley in Nevada, USA and the proceeds from this auction will further help this worthwhile cause. The message behind Horton's stunning piece entitled ‘Onward And Upward' is that no matter how hard the struggle is, honour and commitment to the cause will lead you to your destiny.
Paul's work is in great demand from collectors all over the country and his original paintings can fetch anywhere in the region of up to £15k. For those of you who miss out on owning this original piece a special limited edition print of the same title has also been published and is available to buy in galleries nationwide priced at £550 framed and co-signed by Steve himself.
Publisher Washington Green will denote £50 to the charity per every limited edition print sold.
Bidding will take place between 1st -31st May 2007. Auction will close at midday on Wednesday 31st May. Steve Harley has personally started off the bidding at £3,500.
