New Painter Terry Donnelly

Inspired by the great landscape painters of our time and with a clear influence of Turner, Terry Donnelly’s big skies and powerful palettes are a new edition to our landscape portfolio. Born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Terry studied art at Jesmond College of Art and Industrial Design, Newcastle. Utilising his preference for oil, he currently channels inspiration into producing landscapes generated with a mixture of drama and light. Colours are mixed on sheets of glass or old plates rather than a specific mixing palette; using a large flat brush which can provide the necessary inferred detail on either primed canvas or timber board. He finds inspiration from many things – from simplistic day to day shapes that can be transferred into something else, or dramatic light effects.

We are delighted to release Terry’s first collection of limited editions this summer.

New Sculptor Jennine Parker

A great new edition to our sculpture range is the work of Jennine Parker whose bronze figurative studies have been introduced to galleries this season. Jennine’s work expresses a passion to create smooth flowing lines, movement, shape and texture. She gains inspiration from natural weathered erosion to create a contrast from smooth to textured surfaces. Interesting shapes and lines are naturally created from every angle, the feeling of needing to hold or touch the sculpture being her deliberate intention.

We are especially delighted to be bringing Jennine’s work to you - as an ex employee of Washington Green, Jennine managed our studio for 5 years and is a professional graphic designer, now taking time out to pursue a career as a sculptor we think she has a big future.
